What is the best food processor?

Magimix make really excellent food processors. Very, very solid engineering (they are heavy).
I've used mine a lot, it's fast and powerful.
It's also simple, with just a single speed setting - the motor adjusts itself to the task at hand.
This one also has a lot of different attachments for different tasks - blending, chopping, grating etc.
Going up in price gets you bigger sizes (eg the 3200 XL) or more power. For home cooking this is probably sufficiently powerful.

Kenwood do a number of good quality food processors.
I believe Magimix are the best, but in the interest of balance here's a similarly priced one from Kenwood.
With this one you get a jug and mill as well and variable speed control (which I think is a disadvantage, not an advantage).
I've never needed a mill as the Magimix comes with smaller processor units for doing nuts, herbs, baby food etc.
The Kenwood jug does 1.5L for soups, juices etc vs. the Magimix which does 1L
